I qualified as a Social Worker in 2009 and spent much of my career working with vulnerable adults, particularly supporting their mental health and wellbeing. While it was a challenging role, the rewards were immense—building meaningful relationships and helping people make positive changes to improve their quality of life was incredibly fulfilling.

My next chapter took a very different turn when I moved into the hospitality industry. I became a partner in a family business, setting up and managing a thriving café in the heart of Bristol. The steep learning curve that came with running a business brought plenty of highs and lows, but it was an experience I’m proud of and wouldn’t change for the world.

After selling the business, I moved to Manchester and started focusing more on my own health and fitness. It was the first time I’d stepped into a gym in over ten years, and that’s where my journey really began.

After qualifying as a gym instructor and completing my Level 3 personal training qualification, I set up Fit for Life Bootcamp in the community, which turned out to be a real success.

A few years later, I moved back to Bristol to be closer to family. Even though my business had been thriving, I began struggling with my own wellbeing and mindset. My relationship with food and body image had always been a challenge, and it became clear that I needed to address these issues head-on.

That turning point was tough, but it was also the catalyst for lasting change. I realised that I needed to let go of the constant quest for perfection and the idea of reaching some "end point" where everything would fall into place. Instead, I focused on building confidence from the inside out. For me, that meant embracing strength training and learning how to truly nourish my body. It wasn’t always easy, but it reignited a fire in me that I hadn’t felt for years.

With renewed passion, I completed an RSPH Level 4 Nutrition course and immersed myself in learning everything I could about health and wellness. Eventually, it became clear that I wanted to turn my personal journey into something bigger—helping others create the changes they want in their lives.

And so, Fit for Life Coaching was born. It’s a reflection of my experiences and everything I’ve learned along the way. My journey hasn’t been straightforward—lasting change rarely is—but it’s given me a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle I didn’t think was possible.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck, but I also know that with the right support, it’s absolutely possible to break through and create a life you truly love. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others unlock their potential, make meaningful changes, and grow in confidence from the inside out.
